Morgan Phillips

Dueling Piano Players

was born in Fort Lauderdale, Florida in the muggy month of February in 1982.  Born into an Italian family where hand gestures were as common as breathing, her mother felt the need to keep Morgan's hands busy with her first classical piano lesson at the ripe old age of 2. After years of playing on top of a phone book, she began writing her own music and eventually entered competitions playing her own classical pieces at 9 years old. That same year Morgan began professional children's theatre at the Hollywood Playhouse playing prestigious roles such as Helen Keller and a singing hot dog named "Wanda Weenie". She was proud.

Four years ago she found her way to dueling pianos, a job that encompassed everything she loved: Music, entertaining and acting like an idiot. Morgan is currently a dueling pianist at Rock the Keys Dueling Piano Bar in Rancho Cucamonga, CA.

She has performed at other piano bars such as Howl at the Moon, FunKEY Nutz, 88 Keys, The Keys, and many other piano bars that uniquely use the word "keys" in their name. She was recently a finalist in the Carnival Comedy Challenge which ironically included a trip to the Florida Keys. Morgan's other talents include playing drums, knowing a few notes on bass and helping the drunk players pay their bar tabs.
