Cappo, is a dueling-piano veteran, having worked at three other clubs in Michigan before moving to Boulder, Colorado to work at the Reef. He started out as a drummer with a degree from U of M in percussion performance, but made the switch to piano and dueling-piano clubs about nine years ago. He's known as a consummate musician who can play nearly any request that gets thrown at him.Mike is currently working and performing more than ever as a vocalist and keyboard player in several of Colorado's most popular and respected bands. He performs with the eighties band Chadzilla & The Asteroids, the versatile Motown band 8traC, and the dynamic Lost Canyon Band. Mike also teaches piano, drums, vocals, marimba, and general percussion. He is still one of the top dueling piano players in the country, playing regularly at Rock the Keys Dueling Piano Bar in California and Sing Sing in Denver.
Mike also has a passion for Jazz and its history. He plays and teaches Jazz and his style encompasses everything from Fats Waller to Chick Corea. Cappo's vocal versatility and musical knowledge make him one of the most in demand musicians around.
